3 Engine 2 is a 1999 Seagrave Class A pumper and is our primary attack pumper. 3E2 has a 750 gallon poly tank and can pump 1500 gpm.
Deployment Orders
  • First out for all Structural Assignments.
  • First out for all vehicle fires.
  • Second out for all Vehicle Accidents.
  • Second out for all Brush Fires.


3 Rescue 8

 3 Rescue 8 is a custom built rescue pumper purchased through North American Equipment Upfitters in New Hampshire. It has a 1500gpm pump, full class A pumper capabilities. It serves as our primary Heavy rescue vehicle.
Deployment Orders
  • All motor vehicle crashes.
  • Heavy rescue calls.
  • Third due for structure fires.
  • First due for car fires.


3 Ladder 3

 3 Ladder 3 is a 2003 American Lafrance.  It has a 2000 gpm pump and carries 475 gallons of water and 25 gallons of Class A foam.
Deployment Orders
  • Second out for all Structural Assignments.
  • Second out for all Vehicle Fires.
  • Backup for Motor Vehicle Accidents.
  • First out for Automatic Aid calls to Winooski.


3 Squad 4

 3 Squad 4 is a multi purpose vehicle. 3 Squad 4 functions as our first truck out for Medical Assists. It can also operate as a remote or phantom pumper using it's complement of 4 inch hose and manifold with the attack lines.
Deployment Orders
  • First out for Medical Assists.
  • First out for major Haz-Mat w/ trailer.
  • Fifth out for Structural Assignments.
  • First out for Structural Assignments in areas that are too tight for Engine 1 or Engine 2.


3 Car 7

 3 Car 7 (Chief's Car) is the command vehicle for MBFD. It is a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. It contains a variety of radios for Command, Control, Communications, Mutual Aid and Major Disasters.
Deployment Orders
  • Chief's Vehicle.
  • Runs on all assignments.

 3 Fireboat 5 is a 2001 Silverships 8 meter center console RHI with twin honda 4 stroke 130hp. It has been retrofitted with a Bombardier /Darley pump and a bow nozzle. It's capable of personnel transport, marina or land based fire fighting, hazardous materials response, and patient transport.
Deployment Orders
  • Fireboat 5 is available to all emergency services organizations on Lake Champlain.

 3 Brush 6 is a KIMTEK Firelite EUV/UTV on a Polaris Ranger 6x6 chassis. This vehicle is designed to provide access to the remote recreational areas of our town such as the Causeway trail, Macrae Farm trails, and on the Lake in winter.  This unit provides 75 gallons of water with a foam system coupled with patient transport capabilities.
